Do you handle live feedings or special diets?
Yes. We can handle specialized diets for exotic pets, including precise feeding schedules and certain live or frozen feedings, as long as clear instructions and supplies are provided. We follow your routine carefully, maintain hygiene, and confirm temperatures, portions, and enclosure needs as applicable. All feeding details are documented in your visit update for accuracy.
Can you mist or maintain terrariums?
Yes. We can support terrarium and habitat maintenance during visits, including misting, topping off water, and checking that basic environmental conditions are on track. If you have gauges, timers, or specific settings for lighting, heat, and humidity, we will follow your written instructions closely. We can also note observations in your visit update for consistency.
How long are visits?
Exotic pet care visits are typically 20 to 30 minutes. The exact visit length depends on your setup and routine, such as feeding schedules, habitat checks, misting, light cleaning, or medication. We book visit lengths based on what your pet needs so we have enough time to complete care safely, thoroughly, and without rushing.
Do you have experience with exotic animals?
Yes. Our team includes sitters with hands-on experience caring for a range of exotic and small household pets, including birds, reptiles, fish, rabbits, ferrets, and other small mammals. We follow your written care routine closely, prioritize safe handling, and focus on keeping habitats clean and stable. You will receive visit updates documenting completed care.
What areas do you serve?
We provide professional dog walking and cat sitting throughout Harford County, including Bel Air, Forest Hill, Abingdon, Fallston, Churchville, Kingsville, Jarrettsville, and Belcamp, Maryland. This is our current service area, and we schedule visits only within these communities to ensure reliable coverage, consistent arrival windows, and a high standard of care for every pet we serve.
What if the weather is bad?
Your petâs well-being is always our top priority but so is making sure our team stays safe on the road. In cases of snow, ice, or other severe weather, weâll do everything we can to get there, but visit times may shift a bit for safety.
If Harford County schools are delayed or closed, you can cancel your dog's walk by 9:00 AM that day without being charged.
If youâd like to cancel because of rain, thatâs totally fine too; just keep in mind that our standard cancellation policy will apply in that case.
It's suggested that if we're providing pet sitting services that you have a trusted neighbor that can get to your pet if the roads are unsafe to drive.
Do you send updates?
Yes. After every dog walk or catt sitting visit, we send a detailed visit report with notes and photos through our client portal. You will see arrival and departure times, key care details, and how your pet did during the visit. This keeps you informed and gives you peace of mind, even when you are not home.
Do you care for pets with special needs or medications?
Yes. Our team can care for pets with special needs and administer many common medications during visits, including oral and topical meds and insulin injections. We follow your written instructions exactly and document everything in your visit report, so you can feel confident your petâs routine is handled safely and consistently.
Can I request last-minute visits?
Yes, when availability allows. We do our best to accommodate last-minute dog walking and cat sitting requests within our regular service area, but short-notice visits are not guaranteed. Because our schedule fills quickly, especially during peak times and holidays, booking in advance is the best way to secure the days and time window you need.
Can I request specific times for our walks/visits?
We totally get wanting your visit at a certain time and when we can make that happen, we do! But to keep things running smoothly (and avoid sending our team zig-zagging all over town), we schedule within set time blocks and follow a geographic route within each block.
The one exception? Puppies under 8 months old. We know consistency is key for house training, so weâll always prioritize timing for our youngest clients.
Weâll do our best to honor specific time requests when we can, but we canât make guarantees. Thanks for understanding, we promise your pet is always our priority.
How do you access our home?
We donât store client keys mainly because there's no practical way to get them to the right team member at the right time and get them back afterward. So instead, we use lockboxes at the home, which keeps things simple, secure, and consistent for everyone.
Donât have one? No problem! You can grab one from us for $15.
Not into the idea of a lockbox? We can use a garage code or door keypad, but keep in mind that those systems can occasionally glitch. For peace of mind, we always recommend having a backup plan like a lockbox tucked somewhere else on your property or leaving a spare key with a trusted neighbor.
Will we always have the same team member?
We work as a team, so while we canât guarantee the same exact person every time, youâll usually see the same small crew visiting your pet week to week. Our staff members have different schedules, classes, and appointments, so we canât assign just one sitter to each home.
That said, we do our best to keep everyone working close to where they live. That means your visits will almost always be handled by a familiar face or someone whoâs part of your petâs regular crew.
Are you bonded & insured?
Yes, absolutely! Any professional coming into your home should be, and we wouldnât have it any other way!
For your peace of mind (and your petâs safety), weâre also certified in Pet First Aid & CPR. You can rest easy knowing your home and your furry family member are in experienced, responsible hands.
