Furry, Feathered, or Scaled – We Love Them All
People always ask what types of pets we watch. In case you are curious, we watch mostly dogs and cats, but we also provide pet sitting services for many more animals! The truth is, we love when we get unique furry, feathered, and scaled friends to spend time with.

Price Quote
When watching exotic pets we take the entire household into consideration. If your exotic pets do not require much additional care then we will not charge any extra. For animals that may require specific expertise, such as parrots and horses, we do charge a bit extra. We take great lengths to have sitters on staff that have such experience, and they are hard to find!
We offer Exotic Pet Care throughout many Harford County communities; including Bel Air, Abingdon, Belcamp, Churchville, Forest Hill, Fallston, and Jarrettsville.

Choosing Your Sitter
If you have an exotic pet and are needing a pet sitter, please reach out to us to discuss your situation. While we do watch most animals, every household requires different care. While any sitter can watch a hermit crab, a house with 8 snakes will need a little more care in pairing a sitter.
When we speak to you we will determine:
- The normal routine for your exotic pets
- How much direct contact they will have with your sitter
- If any of your exotic pets have health concerns
Based on these factors we determine the level of experience your sitter will need to have. Whenever possible we pair exotic pets with sitters who have prior experience with the same species. Some animals require more prior experience than others. For instance, snakes and large parrots require a person with prior experience in case a health problem arises.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What types of exotic pets do you care for?
We provide care for many exotic and small household pets, including rabbits, ferrets, small mammals, birds, fish, and a variety of reptiles. Visits can include feeding, fresh water, enclosure checks, light cleaning, and routine care based on your written instructions. We do not accept every species, so we only book exotics we can support safely and confidently.
How do you ensure proper care for specialized pets?
We ensure proper care for specialized and exotic pets by following your written instructions exactly, including feeding schedules, enclosure requirements, and handling preferences. Our team reviews your pet’s routine before visits so care is consistent, even with different sitters. When needed, we confirm species-specific basics in advance so your pet’s environment stays safe and stable.
Do you handle live feedings or special diets?
Yes. We can handle specialized diets for exotic pets, including precise feeding schedules and certain live or frozen feedings, as long as clear instructions and supplies are provided. We follow your routine carefully, maintain hygiene, and confirm temperatures, portions, and enclosure needs as applicable. All feeding details are documented in your visit update for accuracy.
Can you mist or maintain terrariums?
Yes. We can support terrarium and habitat maintenance during visits, including misting, topping off water, and checking that basic environmental conditions are on track. If you have gauges, timers, or specific settings for lighting, heat, and humidity, we will follow your written instructions closely. We can also note observations in your visit update for consistency.
How long are visits?
Exotic pet care visits are typically 20 to 30 minutes. The exact visit length depends on your setup and routine, such as feeding schedules, habitat checks, misting, light cleaning, or medication. We book visit lengths based on what your pet needs so we have enough time to complete care safely, thoroughly, and without rushing.
Do you have experience with exotic animals?
Yes. Our team includes sitters with hands-on experience caring for a range of exotic and small household pets, including birds, reptiles, fish, rabbits, ferrets, and other small mammals. We follow your written care routine closely, prioritize safe handling, and focus on keeping habitats clean and stable. You will receive visit updates documenting completed care.
