Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What’s included in new puppy visits?
New puppy visits are designed to support your routine and your puppy’s development. Each visit typically includes a potty break, age-appropriate playtime, fresh water, and cleanup as needed. We can also reinforce crate training, basic manners, and any written feeding or care instructions, then document everything in your visit report with notes and photos.
How often should my puppy be visited?
Most puppies do best with 2 to 3 visits per day, especially during potty training and the early months of development. Frequent breaks help prevent accidents, support a consistent routine, and provide healthy socialization and enrichment. The right schedule depends on age, bladder control, and your training goals.
Do you help with training?
Yes. While we are not a substitute for a professional dog trainer, we can reinforce positive habits during walks and visits, such as polite leash manners, sit at doors, and calm greetings. We follow your written cues and any trainer-provided guidance to keep your dog’s routine consistent and support your training goals.
Can you feed my puppy during visits?
Yes. We can feed your puppy during visits, including meals and scheduled snacks, following your written instructions for portions and timing. We also refresh water, clean bowls as needed, and note what was eaten in your visit report. If your puppy is working on slow feeding or special diets, we will follow your setup.
What if my puppy isn’t vaccinated yet?
If your puppy is not fully vaccinated yet, we take added precautions to reduce exposure risk. Visits are one-on-one, and outdoor time focuses on your yard or other low-risk areas recommended by your veterinarian. We avoid dog parks and high-traffic pet locations, and we prioritize clean handling and safe routines throughout the visit.
Do you help with crate or leash training?
Yes. We can support gentle crate acclimation and early leash training as part of puppy visits, following your written routine. That may include calm crate entry and exit, short practice sessions with leash and harness, and reinforcing basic cues like sit and wait. We keep sessions age-appropriate, positive, and consistent with your training plan.
What if my puppy has an accident?
Totally normal. We’ll clean up, reset the area, and note it in your visit update so you can track patterns and timing.
