Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What’s included in overnight care?
Overnight Care includes an overnight stay in your home so your pets have company, consistency, and a normal bedtime routine while you’re away in Bel Air and the surrounding Harford County area.
We handle the essentials like dinner and breakfast routines, potty breaks, fresh water, litter box care for cats, and basic home-entry security (locks, lights as requested). The biggest benefit is the in-between time. Your pets are not alone overnight, and they get calm companionship, comfort, and eyes on them if anything seems off.
After the stay, you’ll receive an update letting you know how the night went and how everyone did.
Where do you sleep during an overnight?
During an overnight, we sleep inside your home, in the guest room or another designated sleeping area you choose. We do not sleep in your bed.
When you book Overnight Care in Bel Air or the surrounding Harford County area, we’ll confirm your preferred setup ahead of time so everyone feels comfortable and your pets can keep their normal routine.
Can you do daytime visits along with overnights?
Yes. You can absolutely add daytime visits along with your Overnight Care, and at least one daytime visit is required.
Overnight Care covers the evening, bedtime, and morning routine, but most pets need an additional check-in during the day for potty breaks, meals, companionship, and overall wellbeing. We’ll help you choose the right daytime schedule based on your pet’s routine and your travel plans in Bel Air and the surrounding Harford County area.
What if my dog has special needs or medications?
No problem at all. We regularly care for dogs with special routines, medical needs, and extra instructions, and we’ll follow your care plan closely.
If your dog takes medication, we can usually administer common meds during visits and overnights as long as you provide clear directions, where supplies are kept, and any tips that help it go smoothly. We’ll document how everything went in your visit update and reach out right away if anything seems off, like a refused dose, vomiting, unusual behavior, or changes in eating or drinking.
For more complex situations, like mobility limitations, post-surgery restrictions, or multiple medications, we’ll review the details with you ahead of time so we can confirm the safest plan and make sure your dog stays comfortable and supported here in Bel Air and throughout Harford County, MD.
How long is an overnight?
An overnight is a 12-hour stay in your home, typically from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am. During that time, we provide companionship and complete evening and morning care, including potty breaks, walks as needed, feeding, and medications per your instructions. Additional daytime visits are scheduled separately to support your dog’s routine.
Will you care for multiple pets?
Yes. We can care for multiple pets in the same household, including dogs, cats, and other small pets, as long as they are listed on your account with current care instructions. Our pricing covers up to three dogs on a booking. For households with more than three dogs, an additional $10 fee applies.
Do I need to be an existing client to book vacation dog sitting?
Yes. Vacation dog sitting is reserved for established dog walking clients, since we already know your dog’s routine and have an active care history in our system. Non-walking households can access vacation coverage by booking Overnight Care. This policy helps us maintain consistent standards, schedule reliability, and safe handling for every dog in our care.
